지난 5월 29일부터 6월 2일까지 일본 요코하마에서 열린 국제간호협의회(ICN, International Council of Nurses) Conference에 문경대학 간호과 학과장인 송연이 교수가 참석하였다. 국제간호협의회(ICN International Council of Nurses)는 전 세계 간호사들을 대표하는 비정부기구로 1899년 창립되었으며, 129개국 간호협회가 회원국으로 가입해 있다. 송연이 교수는 5월 31일과 6월 1일에 걸쳐“Support system for migrant workers in Korea”, “The health status and handling with toxic chemicals of foreign workers in Korea”, “A grounded theory approach to the adjustment process of migrant workers in Korea-related health”를 주제로 한 총 3편의 포스터를 발표하였다. 이 Conference에는 전 세계 총 3,000여명의 간호사가 참석하여 최신 간호이슈에 대해 함께 논의하고 정보를 교류하였다.
